About Legacy Home & Business Services

Professional notary services and nonmedical Aging-in-Place assistance are at the heart of what we do.

Sometimes people simply need someone willing to answer the phone, explain their options, find the right resource, show up when promised, and follow through. Legacy was built to be that dependable helping hand.

The person behind Legacy

Meet Rachel Henry

I'm Rachel, the founder of Legacy Home & Business Services. My work in hospital registration and medical offices taught me how much a calm, organized person can matter when someone is trying to get an important task done.

That experience shaped the way I serve clients: protect private information, communicate clearly, coordinate details, treat people with compassion, and follow through. Whether I'm helping with a document or finding practical support for a family, I want you to know who you're calling and what to expect.

The heart of the work

Why Aging-in-Place Is Personal to Me

Some of my happiest memories involve older people: my grandmother, my Great-Aunt Sandy, my Uncle Ronnie and his wife Annie. That connection grew through the older volunteers I met while working at Harriman Hospital in Harriman, Tennessee.

Carolyn, Carolyn's sister, Robert, and many others became part of my life. Robert was 95 in 2011 and still volunteered, almost always ready to laugh and tell a story, even after losing his wife and with his children living in other states. Some of the volunteers knitted blankets for my babies. They shared stories about their families, their younger years, and the world they had known.

When my mother passed away at the very hospital where I worked, those same people were there for me. As the volunteers passed away, I made a point to attend their funerals for as long as I lived in East Tennessee. Most of them are gone now. My admiration and respect for older adults never left.

A familiar distance

The Person Who Brought the Mission Home

Today, I see this need through my own grandmother. She lives alone and is fully capable of caring for herself. But researching online, deciding which information to trust, finding reputable help, and keeping up with chores and projects around the house aren't always easy.

I live too far away to simply stop by whenever she needs a hand. Many families know that feeling. Their loved one may not need nursing care or assisted living. They may need trustworthy help with a few practical things so they can keep making their own decisions and living in the home they love.

A little help shouldn't have to mean giving up your independence. Sometimes it's exactly what helps you keep it.

Practical support with dignity

Aging in Place Shouldn't Mean Aging Alone.

Legacy's Aging-in-Place assistance is nonmedical. We help with everyday tasks and coordination that can make independent living easier, while respecting each person's choices, stories, and routines.

Our services complement family, healthcare, home-health, and personal-care providers. We do not provide nursing or personal-care services.

Support may include household and yard help, laundry, errands and groceries, meal support, companionship, technology assistance, organization, and resource navigation. We help look for community, nonprofit, government, insurance-related, and other available programs when appropriate to reduce direct costs. Availability and eligibility depend on the program; we confirm service scope and pricing before work begins.

A flagship service

Professional Notary Services

Important documents deserve a professional who communicates clearly and arrives prepared. Legacy offers mobile notary and remote online notary services when the document, location, and applicable rules permit.

We can meet clients at homes, businesses, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, senior communities, and nursing facilities where appropriate. Visit the full Notary page for service options, availability, service area, and starting prices.

Our name, our promise

Why the Name “Legacy”?

A legacy isn't only what someone leaves behind. It's what we build while we're here: the grandmother who helped raise a family; the volunteer who knitted a blanket for someone else's baby; the person who takes extra time to explain something; the small-business owner building something for their family.

Those everyday acts of care and determination matter. Legacy exists to honor them through practical service today.

Building Legacies. Serving Today. Securing Tomorrow.
